Contemporary Artists Work

I wanted to get some inspiration for when I create my contemporary designs so I started to research into stylist/designers/artists who have incorporated the Elizabethan era into their work. This will help me gather images and ideas for when I start to create my hair designs. Below are a few images that I think represent the Elizabethan era quite well.

Alexander McQueen

Although there is no height to this hair, this still looks very Elizabeth to me. There is plaits that are incorporated, and the face is very pale and simple.

Chanel
Pre-Fall 2013

The hair has height, frizz and accessories! This look is very inspired by the Elizabethan era as they have picked models with light/fair hair and have curled and frizzed it and added accessories just how they did in the 16th century.

I really like this design as it looks very contemporary because the hair is smooth and silky rather than curled or frizzed. The heart shaped hair is there and I like the pearls being on just one side.
