I have drawn 3 initial design ideas that I will experiment with and adapt to make them better. These designs are only very quick sketches and I will go back over them to make them more elaborate.
Design 1:
For my first design, I want to create a heart shape padding on the top but slightly to one side. I also want there to be a V shaped parting and that to be pulled into the bun at the back. I will then have barrel rolls in my fringe as I will have used quite a few techniques in my design.
I got my inspiration from Beyonce's Mrs Carter Tour Advert as I like the hair being placed to one side, and also Alexander McQueen's Elizabethan-era up do as I like the heart-shaped padding. Both of these images being ones I have researched earlier on my blog.

Design 2:
For my second design, I want to create a heart shaped padding but I want them to be more joined at the top so its not that obvious and defined. I also want to base this design around plaits. I want there to be a french plait going all the way around the hairline with 2 little plaits down each side of the head, tied with bows. I think it looks nice as they look like earrings. I also want there to be a bun at the back, but I want 4 french plaits going into the bun to include the plaits at the back of the head.
Design 3:
My third design is basically me adapting the first one. I want to include the V-shaped parting at the front and the heart shaped padding on either side but I want it to be central rather than to just one side. I want to backcomb it so that it gives it a more contemporary feel. I also want to include a french plait in the parting, going all the way down to the bun.
I was highly inspired by Chanel's Pre-Fall 2013 Catwalk with the plaits incorporated in the hair. I think it is influenced by the Elizabethan era as there is padding in the hair, its been curled or frizzed and also a lot of plaits. I was amazed by these little plaits, they make the hair so contemporary looking and I after researching this I just had to put them in my designs! The last two designs have been inspired by Chanel.

So far, my favourite design is the 3rd one and my partner is going to practice this design on my hair and I will see how it turns out and if I need to adapt it to suit my hair. I will also get to see what works and what doesn't and I can always go back to my initial designs if it is no good.
